Doxa Deo Project Receives ATKV Award

The Doxa Deo Project (Greenville, SC/South Africa) has been chosen as the Afrikaans Taal en Kultuur Vereeniging – Handevat Award Recipient. The criteria to qualify for the competition was that a privileged school take hands with a less privileged school to develop a project that would benefit the less privileged school. The project was chosen last year as one of the ten nationwide finalists and was inspected by independent judges appointed by the ATKV in early January. The Doxa Deo Project leaders accepted the award on February 25th at the ceremony in Hartbeespoort.

Congratulations Doxa Deo!

A Note from the Doxa Deo Team Leader: The ATKV, established in 1930, is one of the most prominent nonprofit organizations in South Africa. The Doxa Deo project stood out among other entries for the diversity of people and businesses all working together on a single project for the common good of their community. For CoD, the award reinforces our belief that the CoD model is merely a tool used as a common denominator to connect likeminded people across the world.
