Cubby Shelves:

Regular plywood and lumbar can be used to construct cubbies where the children can place their back packs, shoes and other items for the day.

Individual / father-sons / handy men-women’s / kids participation / decorating / art and painting Shipping

Plastic Trays for Cubby Shelve:

Ideal for group participation

Trays can be bought in bulk or individually by participants that contribute to the purchase of the tray and shipping. Each participant decorate his/her tray Decoration can include art, Bible verses in recipient’s native language and more

Shipping contribution: $10 per tray

 

 

Eternal Threads

“Eternal Threads” was started when a group of ladies did the first sleeping mats! All materials were bought at Wall Mart and very easy and fun to do.

Sleeping mats:

Project that can be easily be divided in those donating the towels, those sewing and those putting the mats together.

Regular towels are used to make these washable sleeping mats that are extremely functional. All materials needed are available at a Wall Mart.

Plastic Bins with Arts Supplies:

Bins can be filled with a LARGE variety of art supplies. Ideal supplies are those that can be reused and therefore do not need frequent replacement i.e. beads Paint, crayons and other similar items are also good suggestions

Shipping contribution: $20 per tray

 

Scrapbooking:

Displayed, at both dedication day and openings day in the donor and recipient locations respectively, these boards are powerful tools to tell the story of the those involved.

In addition to the “birth of the school” boards this can also be a fun opportunity to see who will have the best pictures. I.e. charging $5 per picture entry fee and having a fun price for the winning entry

 

Scrapbooking:

In addition to poster boards shipped to the recipient, materials can also be included for the recipients make scrapbooking boards to share the second phase of how the building came about. Also see plastic bins with art supplies

Shipping contribution: $20 per board.

Art

(Sending a project to be returned!)

This painting is proudly display in a church in CA – the artist used 28 regular size white photo copy paper to draw the outlines of this painting. Kids in the recipient country used their own initiative with colors. The artwork was mailed back to the donor.

Shipping contribution: $250. Great package to sell at a fundraising auction!!

Wash Cloth Rack:

Wash cloths are given to each individual child to wipe hands after washing and as needed during the day. Ideal rack is sturdy, mobile and can be placed outside when needed and then moved inside. Should be reachable for 2 – 7 year olds)

Rack can have room for individual labels – diversity of cloths are encourage for easier recognition, also easy item to “bring”

Package can easily be divided into rack and provision of cloths. An easy item to bring from home for to wrap something else.

 

 

Story boards:

Ideal for group participation

(Picture shows and old oil pan of a vehicle, painted, filled with sand and ornaments to tell the story)

Flannel boards: Variety of bible stories, fables and educational can be share with kids using flannel boards. Cutting the characters can be done by any person using self make templates Great individual and group project.

 

Hand Puppets:

Hand puppets and also “self written” plays can be included in the shipment. This project can be divided in several smaller package i.e. include a recording of an actual story and teach the teachers how to use the puppets

Table and Chairs:

Sturdy and easy cleanable table and chairs are items can be bought in bulk and or sponsored individually.

An ideal for small group project in many ways. Creative fundraising will secure funding for purchase and shipping contribution, i.e. senior class in high school raise $ to see who can stack the chair the highest. Using the item in the actual fund raising increase awareness for the project and get others involved

Shipping contribution: $25 per table and $10 per chair.

Outdoors


 

 

Outside hand wash station:

Washing hands is one of the primary preventative measures to eliminate the spreading of bugs. A mobile table/cabinet with five or more regular “drop-in” buckets and each having a faucet can be placed outside for kids to wash hands after playing. The “plumbing” is connected to a garden house, the buckets emptied after use and the table moved inside for safe keeping.
